Oh how we LOVE you Maui...let me count the ways!!!
Snorkeling, Walking barefoot on the beach, playing in the pools, laying in the hot sun, body surfing, building sand castles, chillin' in the hot tubs, going down the water slides, listening to the ocean as it crashes onto the beachy shore, jumping the waves, snowcones everyday at 1:00 PM,Luau's, Hula Dancers, aMazInG Sunsets, Movie night under the stars, keiki club, BeachwalkMarket, Relaxing atmosphere, time to read books, Snuba, making new friends, palm trees,Caramacs, beautiful views, amazing fish & turtles, evening walks on the boardwalk, Whalers Village, Cheeseburger in Paradise, tan lines, playing with my girls...etc. etc.
This was our third trip to Maui since we have been married. Once for our Honeymoon, again on our 5th Anniversary, and this time to celebrate our 10th year Anniversary. We had previously stayed at the Westin on Kaanapali Beach, but this time we waited until the fall and stayed at the Marriott Ocean Club, also on Kaanapali Beach. We just LOVE Maui and it definitely did not disappoint us on this trip.
We took the older two girls, Taylor & Brooklyn with us and left (tears) little Paityn in the fun and capable care of Nana & Grandpa Rohatinsky (Justin's parents). We were sad to not have littlePaityn with us and we missed her tons, but it did make it so that we could spend some more one-on-one time with the other girls, and have a little more relaxing trip.
We had all been so excited and really just counting down until our trip was to begin. The girls did pretty amazing on the flights getting to Hawaii. Wow...even I forgot how long it takes to get there. Since there is no longer a direct flight out of SLC into Maui, we ended up traveling for like 12 or so hours before we were able to arrive. Thank goodness for DVD players!!! I seriously don't know how people traveled with kids before those were around.
Once we arrived, we got our rental car and headed to the resort. The girls were so cute...telling everyone around how it was Taylors 2nd time to Hawaii and Brookyn's 1st time! We got into our rooms and went to check out the resort, pools, and beach. The girls were SO excited about the pirate ship kids area pool. Even though it was late we let them go swimming and play for a little bit. They were having a blast. I loved hearing and seeing the ocean from basically anywhere we were...on our deck, at the pool, just walking around....ahhh, this is my personal paradise! Plus, the weather was absolutely perfect! Such a nice change from the cold and winter weather we had started to get used to in Utah already. It was hard to believe that it was November and so warm...loved it!
We took so many pictures...but that is what vacations are for right?! :)
Enjoy!!
(Oh my...so many pictures! I am sorry! Only posting them all because I want to put them into an annual blog book!)
Breakfast & cartoons in the mornings!
Ready for their fun "Keiki Club" night!
They were SO excited for this night! Made is easy for Justin & I to have dinner alone.
Photo's of the Resort...so beautiful!
Guess who we ran into at the resort??? My Uncle Roger & Aunt Sallie! It was fun to see them and chat. So random that we see them in Maui the same time we are there when we only live like 20 minutes away from each other at home!
Did I ever mention I LOVE the ocean & palm trees?
Playing in the sand
Body surfing with Daddy. SO much fun! Taylor was having a blast!
(Some of these pictures were taken with our underwater camera, so they didn't turn out as well)
We made "Spa Chairs" out of the sand. The girls loved them! The reclining sand chairs were accessorized by little hand baths that Taylor added on the side! So funny.
