After 3 night at the Grand Californian, we went and stayed in Newport Beach at the Marriott Villas. I love Newport Beach and have such great memories of going there all the time in college. But either I was just desperate to get out of Utah and have a vacation in college, so I didn't notice that it was a little chilly or we must come at the wrong time of the year now. The last two times we have stayed there it was way cooler and overcast every morning and evening. Disneyland would be hot, bright and sunny and then Newport always seemed to have the marine layer.
Can you believe that after a couple of FULL days at the park the girls still wanted to go back to Disneyland instead of playing on the beach. We went on tons of rides and had so much fun...but you'll notice the picture taking did slow down. :)
We have to get in our daily dose of Carousel rides!
On the BIG Ferris Wheel in California Adventure.
Brooklyn loves rocks and is always finding new ones for her "rock collection" (which consists of a bucket of rocks in our garage) so when her eyes fell upon this BIG rock while waiting in line for the Winnie the Pooh ride she just HAD to have a picture of her on it. (She actually found the rock the day before but we didn't have the camera with us and so she had a major meltdown which involved tears!) So we had promised to come back and get her picture on her favorite rock.
